Embedded Software Engineer

Summary

As an essential part of the Paltronics engineering team you will be challenged on a day-by-day basis.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of object oriented and/or modular software design.
• 5+ years experience in software engineering
• BSCS / BSEE / BSEET or related degree.
• Experience with command line compilers in non IDE environment.
• Responsible for developing embedded software utilizing C, C++, state machines, RTOS, TCP/IP, and custom networking protocols.
• Some hardware experience desirable.
• Familiarity with ARM7, ARM9, Microchip PIC, Hitachi SHX, Intel x86, Keil compilers, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, embedded XP, WIN CE, in a Visual Studio environment.
• Good language skills, self starter, and the ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with all aspects of software development: analyzing, designing, coding, testing, debugging and writing stress tests to verify software performance.
• Quick learner – you will be required to work with and enhance existing code bases.
• Your code should demonstrate solid-coding techniques, proper documentation, portability, extensibility, and testability.
