Lead Windows C/C++ Multimedia Developer
Location: Crystal Lake, Illinois
Summary
Paltronics is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Windows software engineer to be a development lead for multimedia and gaming software development. This person will lead a team of similar or less experienced engineers, dedicated to improving Paltronics’ multimedia and gaming system products.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years developing software
- Minimum 2 years as a software development lead
- Minimum 2 years developing multimedia software
- Application development experience of video games, multimedia, or similar software products on a Windows XP or CE platform required
- Thorough knowledge of object oriented and/or modular software design
- Expert knowledge of C/C++ required
- Expert knowledge of DirectX APIs required
- Previous experience developing with the DirectShow APIs and COM a plus
- Ability to coordinate with the project manager to set and meet schedules
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate and lead other software engineers
- Working knowledge of a Source Control System required
- Ability to lead a team of engineers and subdivide a software project
- Experience using UML Diagram techniques preferred
