Paltronics Inc. Appoints Vice President Marketing
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chicago, IL - July 18, 2006 - Paltronics Inc., a world-leading manufacturer of centralized casino gaming system solutions and display technology, today announced that it has appointed Beverley Bird as Vice President Marketing.
Bird joined Paltronics in May 2006 following six months in a consulting role with the company. She brings 20 years of international technology marketing experience at start-ups and multinational organizations.
From 2004 to 2005, she spent time in her native UK as Pan-European Director of GlobalFluency, a worldwide network of marketing and public relations agencies. There she was responsible for coordinating business development across the region and establishing the European arm of the prestigious Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council, a peer group of top tier technology executives that has its roots in the US. She built the organization from zero, doubling the target membership for the first year, signed blue chip sponsors including Google and Siebel (now Oracle) and produced a series of profitable events that were rated first-class.
During her career she has worked at technology start ups, successfully raising visibility and gaining credibility with influencers, as well as establishing brand identity and generating leads with target audiences.
Bird has worked for large multinationals including Microsoft where she managed the international public relations group, focusing on continuous improvement and best practices. She spent three years as a director at Schlumberger overseeing global marketing and communications for the former Automatic Test Equipment division as well as the Smart Cards division in North America.
“Beverley brings a deep understanding of technology and the needs of discriminating marketers, both of which are pivotal to our system solutions business,” said Angelo Palmisano, president and chief executive officer of Paltronics Inc. Her skill set complements Paltronics’ strong gaming experience and her balance of entrepreneurial skills and formal process, strategy and measurement techniques honed at world-renowned corporations will be important to our success moving forward,” he added.
“I am excited to join Paltronics, commented Bird. “I am impressed by the company’s innovative technology that creates business efficiencies while contributing to the “wow factor” for casino properties, as well as the strategy that is in place to grow the company.”
Bird obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in French Studies and English from the University of Lancaster in the United Kingdom.
